Human Resources staff manages all aspects of recruitment, compensation, benefits, and training for the city’s workforce. This includes processing applications and new hires, development and management of the city’s benefits program, salary surveys and compensation plan design, and identification and implementation of needed training programs. Human Resources is also responsible for policy development, implementation, and the management of all property and casualty insurance.

Employment Requirements

All city employees are required in the course of their employment to provide services for the benefit of the general public. City employees must be able to work immediately before, during, and/or after an emergency. All positions require the following:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid Texas driver’s license
  • Satisfactory driving record
  • Pass background investigation
