COVID-19 Closures and Hours of Operation
Due to COVID-19, all City of Floresville building lobbies and the City Hall drive thru are closed until further notice. Additionally, we are not operating on Fridays. Please conduct your business and make payments over the phone, our website, and the City Hall night drop box. We appreciate your understanding during this time.
April 3 City Council Emergency Special Meeting via Teleconference and Facebook Livestream
This meeting will be closed to in-person attendance by the public. A temporary suspension of the Open Meetings Act to allow telephone or videoconference public meetings has been granted by Governor Greg Abbott. These actions are being taken to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 by avoiding meetings that bring people into a group setting and in accordance with Section 418.016 of the Texas Government Code. Videoconferencing capabilities will be utilized to allow individuals to address the Council via Facebook Live. Citizens’ comments may be submitted via Facebook.
Governor Orders Non-Essential Businesses to Close
On March 31, Governor Greg Abbott signed Executive Order GA-14, ordering that people and businesses should follow CDC and Presidential guidelines by practicing good hygiene, environment cleanliness, and sanitaiton, implementing social distancing, and working from home if possible. Effective April 2, only essential services are allowed.
Order Continuing Declaration of Local State of Disaster Due to Public Health Emergency
Public Health Emergency Rules and Regulations are now in place in the City of Floresville as outlined in the Mayoral Declaration of Local State of Disaster until April 9, 2020.
