SUMMARY:FEDC End-of-the-Year Tax Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Floresville Economic Development Corporation will host a business power lunch workshop on Thursday\, February 9\, 2023\, from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.\, at Jack’s Cafe\, in Floresville. The workshop theme is “End-of-the-Year Tax Workshop.” The workshop will feature important tax tips for small businesses including changes to the tax code that will impact businesses during the 2023 filing deadlines for fiscal year 2022. The workshop will also include federal (Internal Revenue Service) and state (Texas Comptroller) filing requirements and deadlines. “It’s important that business owners are informed of the state and federal filing tax requirements\, laws\, tax code\, and best practices to reduce tax liabilities\,” says Ben Reed\, FEDC Executive Director. Each year hundreds of thousands of small businesses fail to write off business expenses\, charitable contributions\, and approved deductions. These deductions include office equipment\, phone\, and internet business expenses\, rent\, insurance\, etc. “Our goal is to provide local business owners information that they can use to support their bottom line\,” adds Reed.
