Celebrate National Trails Day on the El Camino Trail

Walk in the footsteps of history!
Join us for a fun day exploring history on the Floresville El Camino Trail (formerly the Floresville Hike and Bike Trail) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., between Trail Street and C Street. This section of the El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail offers a unique chance to delve into the rich heritage of our region. The trail itself follows an old railroad bed, but its roots go much deeper, overlapping part of a historic route used by Native Americans, Spanish settlers, and cattle drives. Imagine the footsteps of these early travelers echoing beneath yours as you explore the recently upgraded trail.
